This book had a lot of intresting facts that I liked ,like I'm intrested in aliens and this book had a whole section on it.
ReplyDeleteI liked the book because just like the person who commented before me said it was full of interesting facts but it was also kind of boring.

I loved this book because it was interesting once I picked it up I could not stop reading it. I found it very interesting that all these scientist’s made up really important stuff about all the different topics relating on science. My favourite hoax was the first one, it was the one where a scientist made a very convincing skull of a creature in between a monkey and a human. I really did enjoy this book and I hope that many of you enjoy it too.

I thought this book was OK but I think it could've been better. The title really caught my attention, and the illustrations, but while I was reading it I got kind of bored, and it seemed to drag on a bit, but I liked how the people who were the "hoaxers" always got caught in the end.

I am half way through the book and I agree with Katie. When I first saw the book, it really caught my attention and I thought that it was going to be really interesting and it was but then it got a little boring like Katie said. I think it was boring for me because again like Katie said, it kind of dragged a bit. CLARA
ReplyDeleteI really liked "Hoaxed" because it really taught me what hoaxers can do. For example the UFO hoax in New Mexico caused the world to believe that aliens were going to invade our world.
ReplyDeleteQuestions For The Author:
How did you come up with the idea for the book? and
Have you ever been hoaxed?
I really liked this book, because it was full of fun and funny facts about hoaxers and hoaxes, and silly cartoons. I especially liked the part about the person who stole the birds from the museum with the cartoon of the person with the bird under his hat, and him saying "Thank you for letting me borrow these seven fine specimens.", when really there were eight, and he had stolen one, because it was funny, and it told you something interesting. I also liked this book because the facts were stated very clearly in the book, and I felt like I really understood everything. The only thing I didn't like was that it ended so quickly! I was reading and thinking " This book is so great! It's really interesting!" and then it anded and I was thinking " That's it? I wish it had gone on forever!" I really enjoyed reading this book, and I think that anyone who likes funny, but interesting reading would love it too! Aurora :D
ReplyDeleteI really liked this book because it showed/taught me what hoaxers can do. My favourite part was when it showed how to make crop circles (UFO landing pads or so says "croppies") and the Bigfoot scam was really funny but for a while "Bigfoot" was real. Eric 5
ReplyDeletei liked the book hoaxed. i thought it was interesting and had all sorts of cool facts. my favourite hoax was the big foot hoax i liked it because the person he picked to be big foot had a glass eye and it shined in the light and it showed up on the video.lol KYANA:P
ReplyDeleteI liked this book because it had interesting stories about hoaxes in it. Also, it had tips about spotting hoaxes. For example it said if a hoax involves someone getting money it is usually fake.It was also good because it tells you how they found the truth about each story. An example of this was when it said someone gave Charles Darwin a pipe made of a stork's leg bone that was 8 inches long, but the stork would have to be 1.3 metres tall for the bone to fit so the pipe was fake.

I did not like "Hoaxed" very much. It was justy not very interesting. I did not like the topic very much and I did not like how it was written,I had a hard time understanding it because I kept trailing off. Also I did not like the pictures. -SARAH:)
